ABOUT

I am an multidisciplinary designer based in the Bay Area, specializing in product design and image making, with a lifetime of experience bridging cultural boundaries.

I received my education in industrial design from California College of the Arts in 2019. That year I started my first industrial design role as with level design as their first intern and employee in San Francisco, where I was exposed to incredible new technologies across a range of industries being prepared for market. I continued my post-graduation learning, joining the design teams at TTi, working on next generation power tools for brands such as Ridgid, Ryobi, and Hart.

In 2020, I joined Magenta Inc in Berkeley, CA as a product designer, developing lines for the home, office, and garden, for small boutique to Fortune 500 clients.

With growing interest in designing for the home, I then joined NBG Home in Austin, TX, where I lead design and production on new lines of products such as the Suspended Gallery which went on to be carried by some of the largest stores in the country.

Since 2022 my wife Katie and I have taken a small step back from the corporate world and have embarked on our longtime dream of starting a high-end tattoo and design business. Called Dark Water Studios, its now expanded to two locations in the Bay, a tattoo boutique and a design and art studio in Berkeley where we continue to serve our clients.

I was born Paris, but have also called Tokyo, New York, and San Francisco my homes growing up. Prior to design I used photography and teaching as paths to fundraise, travel, and work, spending time education and documenting for conservation purposes, in otherwise more faraway locations; from Colombia, to Namibia, to the High Sierras. In 2010 apprenticed under National Geographic nature photographer David Liittschwager on assignment exploring the diversity of the California wildlife culminating in the June 2011 issue.
